Tammy is a firearms, OC, and mental health first aid instructor. She is a mom, grandma, and passionate 2A advocate.
Tammy is based in Lawrence, KS and is a mother, grandmother, and passionate 2A
advocate. Prior to working in child welfare for over a decade and seeing the failure of legal
systems to protect women, she used to believe only police needed a gun but no more.
As the owner of Red Brick Road Training, Tammy’s goal is to normalize firearm ownership
with a focus on individual rights and safety using the best option for each individual. She
has a BA in Public Relations and Marketing with a Specialization in Project Management
and has an extensive background in advocacy and public relations for not-for-profits.
Tammy has received extensive training in grassroots advocacy, having served at the state
and national levels of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). She has had training in
working with the media from the Pew Charitable Trust and served as a lobbyist for several
years.
Besides holding several certifications as a firearms instructor, Tammy is certified to teach
OC (pepper spray) Training by Agile Training and Consulting and is a certified Mental
Health First Aid Instructor. She serves as the Training Committee Chaiman and an at-large
board member for the Kansas State Rifle Association and previously worked as a chapter
facilitator for A Girl and A Gun and a contract instructor for Shoot Like a Girl.
