Missouri

Susan Myers

Mom, Wife, Chapter Leader for Armed Women of America Shooting Chapters, 2A advocate, and competitive shooter.

A once stay-at-home mom whose sons have grown, Susan now spends her time advocating on behalf of Missouri’s female firearms owners on Second Amendment issues in the Missouri General Assembly.

Her short time in 2A advocacy has led to her testifying on almost all firearms related bills heard in the Missouri House and Senate, often being the only woman showing up in person to provide testimony in support of good firearms legislation, always with the goal of ensuring the female firearms owner’s perspective is expressed and on record.

Along with her role as Women for Gun Right’s State Director for Missouri, Susan serves as a Chapter Leader for Armed Women of America, helping women become confident and competent concealed carriers. She also currently leads her church’s volunteer Safety Team.

Before advocacy, Susan spent many artistic years, first as an award winning sugar artist, then needlework pattern designer, praised for her intricate 3-D designs, finally combining it all into several years as an online art instructor. But she will be the first to tell you that none of those previous hobbies or endeavors have brought near the satisfaction that becoming an advocate for women’s gun rights has given her.
